When You’re Holding Everything Together, But Feeling Exhausted Inside
You may look like you are managing work, family, relationships, and responsibilities, but inside you feel overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted.
You may spend nights replaying conversations, worrying about the future, or feeling stuck in patterns of burnout, trauma, depression, or unresolved relationship conflict.
I’m Danielle Faber, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker with around 5 years of experience, licensed in New York. I provide therapy in Port Jefferson and online throughout New York State for adolescents and adults.
Why Work With Me
I help clients feel heard, understood, and emotionally safe.
Many of the people I work with are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, negative self-talk, and the pressure to hold everything together. They may feel afraid they are failing others or not “doing enough,” even when they are trying their best.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, flexible, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs, strengths, experiences, and goals for healing and growth. I work best with clients who are engaged in the process, open to self-reflection, and willing to put in the work toward meaningful change.
The work is not about pretending everything is fine or pushing through alone. It is about slowing down enough to understand what is happening, what patterns keep repeating, and what kind of support can help you move forward.
Clients tend to choose me because I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach is collaborative and supportive.
I help by guiding clients through challenges, patterns, and emotions that may feel difficult to navigate alone. I see therapy as a collaborative process where I act as a supportive tour guide, helping clients better understand themselves and move toward meaningful change.
Together, we may look at anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, boundaries, communication, negative thought patterns, emotional overwhelm, and the ways past experiences may still be affecting the present.
Along the way, I provide insight, tools, and encouragement so clients feel more confident and empowered in their journey. The goal is to help you better manage symptoms, feel heard and understood, improve relationships, and feel more in control of your life.
What Working With Me Is Like
Therapy with me is supportive, nonjudgmental, and active.
You can expect space to talk honestly about what you are carrying, without feeling judged or rushed. We will work together to understand your emotions, overcome challenges, and help you better understand yourself and move toward meaningful change.
Clients often begin therapy feeling controlled by stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, or relationship conflict. Over time, they may begin setting healthier boundaries, communicating their needs more confidently, and responding to stress with greater self-awareness instead of overwhelm.
A small but meaningful change may look like feeling more emotionally grounded, less reactive, and better able to manage anxiety, relationship challenges, and negative thought patterns in daily life.
I am a good fit for clients who are engaged in the process, open to self-reflection, and willing to put in the work toward meaningful change. I may not be the best fit for clients who are not yet ready to actively engage in the therapeutic process or make changes toward their goals.
Getting To Know Me
I have around 5 years of experience in practice and have spent that time working in a mental health clinic. My work has included supporting adolescents and adults through depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, emotional overwhelm, and the difficult patterns that can make life feel hard to manage.
Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy nature, baking cupcakes, and spending time with family.
My own lived experience with anxiety, domestic violence, and overcoming depressive symptoms after a negative relationship informs the way I sit with clients who are trying to heal. I understand how hard it can be to ask for support when you are used to pushing through, and I know change can take courage, consistency, and care.
